Joe Zylka is a seasoned real estate professional with over 30 years of experience in commercial, multifamily, and residential properties. Zylka’s entrepreneurial journey began in 1995 when he founded Zylka Property Management, LLC during his freshman year at Baylor University. While pursuing studies in Real Estate and Finance at Baylor, Joe nurtured his business focusing on expanding its footprint. Currently a Senior Advisor for Dominus Commercial, Zylka has a proven track record of success in operations, investment, and development. His aptitude in team leadership, business development, market research, contract negotiation, and budget management exemplify his comprehensive skill set. These skills are complemented by his proficiency in safety and building code compliance, process improvement, and vendor service management. Over the last 30 years, Zylka has been directly involved in the acquisition, construction, and management of over 25 million square feet of commercial product, over 10,000 multifamily units, and 2000 single-family properties. In his previous role as Director of Operations/COO at Dogwood Commercial, Zylka was responsible for system development, stakeholder engagement, metric management, strategic growth, compliance assurance, and leadership development. During his time at Dogwood, he was involved in over $750 million in real estate transactions. Zylka is a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a passion for cultivating tenant and staff relationships. He is a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker and holds the CPM and AMO designations.
