Richard Solomon

With over 35 years of experience in maintenance engineering, Richard Solomon is a seasoned professional equipped with the expertise to manage complex facility operations and technical challenges. Currently serving as the Chief Building Engineer for Dominus Commercial/Lukasa in Houston, Richard oversees all aspects of commercial building facilities, from processing work orders and managing operational budgets to supervising security, housekeeping, and onsite service contractors. His leadership extends to directing fire and safety operations and emergency security responses, ensuring the highest standards of facility protection. Richard’s technical proficiency is backed by specialized training in pumps, boilers, maintenance electricity, and water coolers. He is a certified expert in stationary engineering, refrigeration, and thermo-technology, with a deep background in Energy Management Systems (EMS), pneumatic systems, and large-scale cooling infrastructure, including centrifugal chillers and rooftop units. Throughout his career, which includes over a decade as a Lead Building Engineer at Gemini Rosemont Realty Management and specialized roles at ABB Network Management and the UT Health Science Center, Richard has proven his ability to troubleshoot and repair critical HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Holding a Maintenance Electrical License, Richard combines decades of hands-on mechanical skill with strategic oversight to maintain peak building performance. Outside of the office, Richard serves as church percussionist, soloist and on the associate ministry team, specifically prayer team leader. His hobbies include cooking, crabbing, drumming, watching movies, sports, home projects and spending time eating out with the family.
