Throughout his career, Carlos has specialized in overseeing complex high-rise mechanical systems, including the management of a premier one-million-square-foot facility. His leadership extends to directing professional engineering teams, where he prioritizes a strong work ethic, sound judgment, and the continuous development of his staff to their full potential. An expert in both the technical and fiscal aspects of building operations, Carlos is recognized for his skill in meeting annual budgets and managing operating expenses while maintaining high standards of professionalism. His comprehensive technical background spans all building trades, including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire and Life Safety Systems. He possesses deep experience with critical infrastructure such as central plants, cooling towers, chillers, and heating boiler systems. Furthermore, Carlos is adept at navigating modern property management tools, including BAS Software Systems, the Angus Work Order system, and Energy Star Portfolio Manager. During his tenure at Brookhollow Central with Hertz Investment and Parmenter Realty, Carlos spearheaded significant capital improvements and sustainability initiatives. His notable achievements include the successful LEED certification for three high-rise buildings and the full-scale installation of a building automation system (BAS) transitioning from pneumatic to DDC controls. He has also demonstrated exceptional resilience and strategic planning by managing large-scale remediation and electrical distribution restoration following major natural disasters. Carlos holds a robust suite of industry-standard credentials that validate his expertise, including SMA and SMT designations, a Third Grade Stationary Engineer License, and a Maintenance Electrician License.
